Questions

How much smaller will my image get?
A photo straight off a phone usually loses 60–80% at quality 80, with no difference you can see at normal size. Screenshots and flat graphics compress less.
Will it lower the resolution?
No. Compressing keeps every pixel and changes how precisely each one is stored. Use the resizer if you want fewer pixels.
Does it strip EXIF data?
Yes, as a side effect. The compressed file is rebuilt from the decoded pixels, so location and camera metadata do not survive.
