Tools that run in your browser
Every image and data tool here does its work in the page. The file is read by JavaScript running in your tab, converted there, and handed back. It is never sent to us, and you can confirm that yourself: open your browser's network tab and run one. There is no request.
Tools that upload
The PDF tools upload, because merging and compressing a PDF needs software a browser does not have. When a tool uploads, the page says so before you choose a file.
An uploaded file is written to a scratch disk under a random name, converted, and deleted: within thirty minutes at the outside, and immediately if you press "delete it now". It is not backed up, not indexed and not read by anyone. The filename you uploaded is kept only so the download has a sensible name.
What is logged
The web server logs the usual: a timestamp, the path, the status, and your IP address. That last one is also what the rate limiter counts against, so a script cannot take the service down for everyone. Logs are not joined to files and are rotated.
Advertising
The site is paid for by adverts from Google AdSense. Google sets cookies and may use them to personalise what you see; that is between you and Google, and you can review or turn it off at myadcenter.google.com. No file, filename or file content is ever shared with an advertiser, because none of it reaches our advertising code in the first place.
No account
There is nothing to sign up for, so there is no email address, no password and no profile. Nothing here identifies you between visits.
